Daily education schedule

Each day of classes begins with a self-paced “Morning Ramp Up” and finishes with a recap of the day’s curriculum. There’s always a technical coach along with the instructor so that you have the resources you need, when you need them.

Program Curriculum

We use our expertise to design curriculum specifically for people with little or no IT experience. You learn by doing— with personalized activities, projects, and real world simulations utilizing the most up-to-date technologies.

Are you ready to kick start your IT Career? It all starts right here! This course is designed as an introduction to the IT Support Boot Camp. This section covers Windows 10 basics, end-user privacy and security, and M365 apps. For professional development, we focus on working as a team and our Career Readiness workshop for the week is Resume Strengthening.

This course teaches the essentials of computer devices and components, PC troubleshooting, Windows 10 configuration and support, ticketing systems, and end-user support. The professional development aspect focuses on achieving high customer satisfaction.

This course provides fundamental networking knowledge and concepts, Windows Server 2019 configuration, shared resources, Windows backup, security concerns and best practices, and using access controls. For professional development, we learn about listening and communication skills.

This course is an introduction to networking models and topologies, ethernet standards, IPv4 subnetting, and DHCP and DNS. This week also features the Career Readiness workshop Job Search Training.

 This course focuses on network devices, switching and routing, firewalls and intrusion detection, wireless technologies, remote access, VPN, and network documentation. We also focus on our technical writing skills.

In this week, we work on assignment catch-up and review. Our Career Readiness workshop is Interview Coaching. 

This course focuses on Active Directory domain services, domain controllers, managing user and group accounts, group policy, and M365 Administration Portal. For professional development, we instruct on solving and preventing incidents and problems.

This course covers the benefits of cloud computing, Azure concepts and services, core management tools, Azure security, Cost Management, and SLAs. We also cover business skills for the technical professional.

The final course requires students to review a technical summary on a fictitious business and recommend upgrades and changes to the IT infrastructure. For professional development, we focus on minimizing stress and avoiding burnout.

CERTIFICATIONS and badges

Tek Ladder teaches both technical and professional skills to ensure you’re prepared for today’s workplace. Certifications, professional badges, and technical badges show employers your level of expertise in the field. 

Students interested in pursuing this Microsoft certification will have the opportunity to prove their knowledge of cloud concepts, Azure services, Azure workloads, and security and privacy in Azure as well as Azure pricing and support. 

Students who earn this badge have successfully completed the IT Service Desk 1 and 2 courses, as well as completed a series of labs, the technical material, and final assessment that will prepare them for a position as a Tier 1 Help Desk Technician. This includes attendance, participation, completion of assignments, labs and homework as assigned by the instructor.

Students who earn this badge have successfully completed the Networking Fundamentals 1 and 2 courses, as well as completed a series of labs, the technical material, and final assessment that will prepare them for a position as a Network Support Technician. This includes attendance, participation, completion of assignments, labs and homework as assigned by the instructor.

Students who earn this badge have successfully completed all 8 courses in the IT Support Boot Camp program with zero missed days of class.

Students who earn the Career Ready badge have met program ajendance requirements, completed all assignments, projects, and homework. These students also exhibit excellent customer service, professionalism, critical-thinking, participation, and technical skills that will be required of them in the field.

Students who earn this badge have successfully completed all 8 courses in the IT Support Boot Camp program.
